Protect Transgender New Hampshire Residents — Support HB 1319!

Earlier this week, New Hampshire’s House Judiciary Committee gave its approval for HB 1319, a bill that would update state law to explicitly protect transgender people from discrimination in housing, employment, and public accommodations.

The New Hampshire Chiefs of Police, business groups like the state Chamber of Commerce, and the NH Women’s Foundation, NH Human Rights Commission, and House Libertarian Caucus have all endorsed the legislation and affirmed that this simple update to the law would have only positive effects for public safety.

It’s expected that HB 1319 will get a full House vote on March 7 or 8, just a few days from now. While it has significant bipartisan support, some representatives still remain undecided. That’s why we need to make sure representatives are hearing from their constituents about why they should support this bill.
