TLDEF opposes Amy Coney Barrett's confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court based on her record opposing equal protections for LGBTQ people, her ties to anti-transgender organizations, and her vocal opposition to the Affordable Care Act and the law's anti-discrimination provision.

Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund (TLDEF), along with six partner transgender organizations, filed comments with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to oppose rulemaking that would restrict access to emergency housing shelters for transgender people. The proposed rule aims to create federal law based on gender stereotypes which would subsequently violate the decision in Bostock v. Clayton County, GA to protect gender identity from discrimination.

The Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund (TLDEF) joins the nation in mourning the loss of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
